Re: DKCLB Custom Level Ideas

Glad you like it! :) The programs I use are Microsoft Paint for actually putting the level together, and GameMaker 8 for editing sprites and backgrounds. I also use Microsoft Excel to make those charts that contain the enemy and item counts. It's not very advanced software, I know, but it works for ...

Re: Explain your name!

SUPER DUPER BUMP! I've used the name RC Spriter on forums and stuff for as long as I can remember. It's based on RC Shroober, an enemy from Mario & Luigi Partners in Time. "Spriter" is because I like to make custom sprites. I think MFGG (Mario Fan Games Galaxy) was the first website I ...

Re: Complete Donkey Kong Country Soundfont(s)

Thanks, after downloading it and reading a bit of Anvil Studio's tutorial, it worked perfectly! I guess I just was too confused earlier to wrap my head around all of the SFZs, VSTs, etc., and what they all meant, but I'm glad it turned out to be something I can understand. :) EDIT: After a bit of ti...

Re: DKCLB Custom Level Ideas

Sorry, the levels are only one-layer images (PNGs), although I do have the terrains saved separately. But, I'm not sure if the terrain images would be easily usable in DKCLB, since they're not laid out perfectly with 32x32 tiles... Oh well, that wouldn't be a problem until much, much farther down th...

Re: Complete Donkey Kong Country Soundfont(s)

Sorry about the bump, it's just that I was really excited to use these soundfonts, but I'm clueless on how to do it. I've spent hours stumbling around the internet trying to figure out how to use an SF2 in a MIDI sequencer, and nothing really seems to make sense. :headache: The sequencer I use is An...

Re: DKCLB Custom Level Ideas

Very cool level designs, everyone! I have a little project going myself involving drawing custom levels, and I've made two so far, using a mix of terrains and sprites from each of the 3 DKC games (all of the stuff is credited). They're only one-layer images, but hopefully they're detailed enough to ...
