Re: Does anyone else find this game a little scary at points

I used to be terrified of Krem Quay when I was younger (mainly because of all the dead, leafless trees). I remember looking at it the instruction manual when I first got the game. It sent a chill down my spine.

Re: DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS!!! [CONFIRMED]

Is this the source?

I was never a big fan of the underwater levels anyway. Save for DKC3's, I love those water levels. Also, in that same article, they (unintentionally) hint at the presence of animal buddies and helper kongs.

Re: DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS!!! [CONFIRMED]

Same here. But I'm sure the Kremlings will return somewhere down the line, they're just too charismatic. I've gotten over the fact that they won't be in DKCR though. Anyway, yes, a banana-yellow box would be perfect for the occasion. On a completely different note, I just watched the teaser for the ...

Re: DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS!!! [CONFIRMED]

Simion has a point. I mean, doesn't it seem suspicious that Mr.Tanabe just came out and said "There are no crocodiles in the game. (laughs)"? That was a bit random, no? That being said, I have a feeling that the kremlings are not going to be in this one. Maybe there will be a ...

Agreed. Finding all of the DK Coins is, by far, the harder challenge.

Re: Shall we make a DKC 4?

That's some interesting concept art, zanee. I was going to post some character art of my own, but yours would just completely overshadow mine. Exellent job!

Also, I highly doubt that any of us could come close to making such a high quality fan game.

Re: If... DKC was made in RPG-style?

Why wouldn't we be able to expand upon DKC's universe? It wouldn't be that hard at all. I don't see your logic. In response to your K.Rool arguement, K. Rool is a psychopathic monster. He doesn't need a motivation. His own insanity is his motivation. It's what makes him such a good villain. On the o...

Re: New Play Control JB Comparison

Yeah, those are some interesting changes they made. Also,I heard that DK wears the crown in-game after you finish it completely. Is that true? They've redone all the enemies a little bit, the most notable of which is the (former) Panda bear. It has now been changed to a brown bear the first time you...

Re: Jungle Beat characters = DKC characters?

- That giant spider enemy could've been Arich. - The little wasps that home in on you could've been Zingers. - Those things that are always trying to latch on to DK with their teeth could've been Klaptraps (possibly Klampons or Krimps). - The sea jellies in the underwater levels could've been Squidg...

Re: Does anyone else think Nintendo is going down hill?

Well, King Kong did kill Godzilla in the American version of Godzilla VS. King Kong, though in the Japanese version Godzilla won. Re: Where did the Spirowarps come from?

Maybe the Spirowarps were invented by the banana aliens. My guess is that when K.Rool and the Kremling Krew stole Xananab's Crystal Banana's, they also managed to sneak onto his spaceship and snag some of the Spirowarps before they fled.

Re: The Mysterious Mr X

I'm gonna throw my own crazy Mr.X theory out there. My guess is that Mr.X was an explorer. He and his crew discovered Crocodile Isle. Of course, this was long before K.Rool and the Kremling crew inhabitated it. After Mr.X passed away, his corpse was buried deep within in Crocodile Isle. The Lost Wor...
