I'm not going to lie to you, Toy Story 3 is the best cartoon movie I've ever seen, possibly the best of any movie I've seen. I can honestly say that was the first time I've cried in a theater, but god that movie was powerful.

Fer sho diggity. I shed tears as well, and EVERYONE in the theater cheered epically at least five times throughout the film. Cinematic mastery. But you know what I loved the most? There were mostly nostalgic parents and teens in attendance, with little kids seemingly brought along as an afterthought. :P
Spoiler!
And I loved Zurg's cameo at the end... I was hoping he'd speak, but oh well. And Ken was fricking awesome.

That's one of the reasons why I didn't really worry about being childish when I was excited to watch Toy Story 3, because of the many teenagers and adults that loved the first two while growing up. I went to see it last night, and I was getting close to crying at some pieces. It was a brilliant way to end the Toy Story films. Bravo Pixar, bravo! :)

Despite the brilliance of the Toy Story trilogy, I have a bit of a bad feeling about Cars 2. Was it really a wise decision to make a sequel to Cars? I guess I'll have to put my trust into Pixar again, as the animation studio said they only make sequels if they had a good story to tell, and they sure as heck haven't failed with sequels before.

Yeah, I agree with you Jo, that was probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. It had so many powerful-yet-dark moments, and all the characters had the same charm as in the original, the new characters were spot-on, and everything was just ARGH! AWESOME!

And I shed many a manly tear at the end, it was just so..man...

And that beginning sequence was one of the most awesome things EVER.

Spoiler!
Really makes me wonder..what happened to Bo Peep?

Well, we know Bo Peep was sold at a yard sale (since Molly grew up, and it was her lamp and all), so I'm sure she went to a caring owner. It was sad to see Woody pause when Rex brought her up.

I'm sure nearly everyone in the world that has seen it thought it was awesome from the outstanding opening to the sweet ending. Yes... nearly.

I accept people have different opinions, but an actual movie critic gave it a very bad review saying it celebrates consumerism and "it’s for non-thinking children and adults". If that's not the worst of it, he thought Hamm was a bad guy, and wrote a character's name wrong (which is bad for a critic who has his reviews on several papers).

This particular critic has gotten many hateful comments. I see why.

I just saw Kick Ass. Call me what you will, but I hated it. I can only take so much violence, profanity, sex, drugs, porn, etc. Take your pick. If people respond to movies like this, the world is doomed. The only good things to be said are:

1. Nicolas Cage was for once the greatest actor in a film.
2. Hit-Girl`s actress was also good (if not greater than Cage).

So yeah, if you haven`t seen it yet... Please don`t.

Well I mean, based on your personality, I wouldn't really expect Kick-Ass! to be your movie of choice in the least.

However, I think the world has much less to worry about from a satirical movie about superheroes than problems like violence and disease. Different strokes for different folks, and this just wasn't your deal. My comic-book nerd roommate/friends seemed to have a much different analysis of it. I haven't seen it myself, but since my informal personality is full of swearing and inappropriate jokes, I think I'd probably enjoy it myself. I also sort of liked the concept when I heard it, the same couldn't be said for Scott Pilgrim, but after seeing more snippets of that, I've really wanted to see that.

Welcome back toooo......Kritter Kinema!with your host, King! K.! ROOOOOOOL!!!!!!!
Hey everyone! Man it sure is great to be here tonight! So, here's a brand new movie review for you! This movie is called Kick-Ass! Many of you have probably heard of this move, and I would classify it with the new trend of comedies with nerdy lead characters, which are usually played by actors Jesse Eisenberg and Micheal Cera, such as Adventureland, Zombieland, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and the Social Network. Now anyway, onto the review. This is a great comedy/action/superhero movie that is very entertaining. The actors are great, and the action scenes are highly polished. But there are many, ManyF-Bombs and such, so this one isn't for the Kiddy Kongs out there. This film gets 4 out of 5 K. Rool Krowns! Stay tuned for more reviews, because this is Kritter Kinema! with KK Rool!

My list continued:
The Hunchback Of Notre Dame (1996 Disney Version): This is a phenomenal film! Probably the best Disney film of all time! The voice acting by Tony Jay and Tom Hulce as Frollo and Quasimodo respectively is PHENOMONAL! See it and you will be AMAZED!
The Brave Little Toaster: If you like SNL and Toy Story, you'll love this movie! Made by the crew behind PIXAR, This movie has phenomenal voice acting and great acting from SNL alumni Jon Lovitz and the late Phil Hartman! See it!
The Wicker Man (1973) The scariest film from England since Vampire Circus!
Phantasm: SEE. THIS. FILM. NOW. AND. YOU. WILL. PEE. YOUR. PANTS. SEE IT NOW! A veritable classic!

The Brave Little Toaster is a brilliant film - they used to show it over here during the Christmas holidays every year when I was a kid, and I still remember the time they showed it and cut my favourite song (City of Light) from the viewing.

Not a happy bunny that day.

I dare all of you to see A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984)! It is probably the best film to ever deal with dreams! (Yes, it beats Inception to a bloody pulp!) Me and SimianSegue saw and we were both terrified! Also, it was Johnny Depp's first film! He has a surprisingly big role as the heroines boyfriend! It is probably the best Wes Craven film, who ties with Tim Burton at number 1 on my list of favorite directors! I give it a 6 out of 5!

So, hurry and see Freddy...

My mom won't let me see it and the teaser trailer (the TV version) for the remake almost literally scared the f*** out of me.

Now, I think this is just screwy:

Spoiler!
My mom and I just finished watching 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' on Comedy Central and she said that it was her VERY FIRST TIME seeing it when I'VE seen it about ten or twenty times since it came out on DVD! And she was also surprised when she found out that the fortyyear-old guy they were talking about hadn't even M*********D in his ENTIRE LIFE! (Hmm, that's probably why that one dude brought the porn over...)

TELL me this isn't jacked up.

No. But I like horror/scary movies. I've been watching them since I was about six or seven. If you're wondering what I was DOING watching horror movies at that age, it was my mom's fault for renting Stephen King's IT as well as Ghost Ship from the movie store. After watching IT I would not take a shower for three or six weeks. :3

So, I just HAVE to post this here.

They are coming out with a 3-D edit of Titanic on the fourth. What they should do is release it on the fourteenth, in honor of the tragedy a century prior.

Yup, I said it.

4/14/2012 is the hundreth anniversary of the Titanic's sinking.

The only thing that would have made the tragedy funny was if it was on April Fools' Day...

I just recently finished watching all of Timothy Dalton's parts in the 1999 TV movie Cleopatra.

Spoiler!
In part 6 I went from "YAY NAKED TIMOTHY DALTON!!!!!!!" to "Caesar's such an ass!" to "Et tu, Brute? :,(" to "Hahahahahahha Antony's being a meanie!"

Also, I'm in the midst of watching the TNT special Caesar.

EDIT: In case none of you recognize Timothy Dalton's name, he was Jmes Bond for a few movies and was also Damian Drake in Looney Toons Back In Action(which ithiught was funny because it's an actor playing an actor who's also a spy). Also, I just found out Billy Zane, who plays Rose's fiancé in Titanic, is the one who played Mark Antony in Cleopatra.

I'm hoping I get to see Pixar's Brave in theatres like I did with the previous two Pixar films, Toy Story 3 and Cars 2.
Speaking of which, there's an animation studio that makes rip-offs of popular 3D animated movies. They made "classic" straight-to-DVD movies such as Ratatoing, The Little Panda Fighter, The Little Cars and What's Up: Balloon to the Rescue.

So we watched The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas (released in the U. S. as The Boy In The Striped Pajamas) in history class.

Hated it.

Hated every f*****g minute from where the Nazi was yelling at the Jewish kid to the very end.

Our classroom is pretty big and I sit against the farthest wall left of the door. At the end of the movie, when the teacher turned the lights on, SOMEONE ON THE WALL ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DOOR COULD SEE THE DAMN TEARS FALLING FROM MY EYES.

So while looking up things Guy Henry (who plays Pius Thicknesse in Deathly Hallows) is in, other than Rome and Harry Potter, I found that in a British medical drama he plays Director of Surgery Henrik Hanssen. I checked out the show and it's actually very good! It's called Holby City (the title spelled as Holby Ci+y) and was spun off of another British medical drama by the name of Casualty.

Saw the Avengers. Dialog was stiff and it was a bit heavy on the CGI, but Scarlett Johansson gives a breathtaking performance as usual so what can I say. Didn't care for her "relationship" (?) with the Hawkeye character, who just plain sucked. I'm more of a DC man myself. Here's hoping the Justice League movie kicks some ass... and comes out within the next five years.

Also, guys. Don't hold your breath for K. Rool in Wreck-It Ralph. If he wasn't in "Donkey Kong Country Returns" he sure as hell isn't gonna show up there.

Anyone else here seen Sucker Punch? It has Emily Browning (who I adore) so I had been wanting to see it since before it came out last year, but I didn't get the chance until I broke down and bought the Blu-Ray on Amazon last week. Watched it twice in one day, then the next day I watched it in "Maximum Movie Mode." Anyway, it is FANTASTIC!! Really great. It teeters on the line between ludicrous sexism and being a legitimately good movie, but that's what I love about it: it's just a bunch of girls in ridiculous outfits kicking ass in surreal environments and taking charge of their independence. The action scenes are just CRAZY epic. And the characters are actually well developed and fleshed out, I really felt attached to them by the end of the film. I never had a thing for Zack Snyder in the past, but this film really impressed me.

The soundtrack is amazing as well, Emily Browning needs to do a solo record like yesterday. The Love is the Drug montage in the extended cut is effing perfect as well.
