The cockpit, still connected to the body(the barrel, assuming the plane was the one from DKC1) by a wire, slam-dunks the plane into DK's tree house, which everyone was in at the time, injuring everyone as the building collapses. Meanwhile, the cockpit somehow survives the explosion and gets flung into the cave below via the damaged cord, a horrific moment as inside the cave, apart from the banana hoard...
