A few days ago I tried registering at sonic-retro.org thinking it was some normal website, (register, log in, done!) but then I found out it is a little harder than that. Pretty much your stuck in a "validation forum" where first you half to make a post to convince the moderators that your awsome enough to join the website.

Well some larger forums sadly tend to do stuff like this, mainly because they can afford to lose some potenial members, that and the fact that Sonic fanboys err.. tend to behave like children sometimes.
