The last one seems to be a enemy or boss i have never seen in the game before, kind of like the Mr. X DKC2 theory.

Edit : If you meen the one at the main top well thats a beta enemy graphic, you can see it at the back of the box of DKC3.

When I looked at that last one, I immediately thought: Kaos. Maybe that's supposed to be a different version of Kaos?

I was looking around and found this image of what appears to be a manual for a Japanese DKC3 toy set. The thing that interested me was the TNT Knocka render next to Baron K. Roolenstein.

Here's something else I recently discovered. Open the U version ROM in a hex editor and go to C856 (this is in the middle of the cast list text for the ending). Right there in ASCII you should see KRACKA. Judging from its location (right after Knocka's name), this appears to be the official name for the TNT Knocka!

I was scanning the Nintendo Player's Guide for DKC3 and found this image:

Isn't that strange? If you notice, KAOS' first head is there, even though it was destroyed in Mekanos. So, maybe it wasn't going to be destroyed there and maybe KAOS would have been an actual full length boss?

Here are some differences I found in the DKC3 Brazilian commercial, I found a lot of differences that you did not know about, I examined the final release to the beta release and here are the differences.
----------
1 : The sub name is called Dixie's Double Trouble instead of Dixie Kong's Double Trouble.
2 : In the arich boss, the right branch is missing on the tree.
3 : On the bonus level "Swanky's Showdown", the point system is gone.
4 : The Brother Bears look different.
5 : Some of the tools in the green tool box in the scenery of Funky's Rentals are missing.
6 : Funky has his DKC2 sprite.
7 : The map screen is majorly alternated.
8 : Sneeks are neeks.
9 : The sky in Lakeside Limbo are alternated.
10 : In Lakeside Limbo, there is a buzz and the bananas said "Y", plus there is a steel keg.
11 : Ellie is in a snow level.
12 : There is no Green to Red thing showing that the door is opened.

I found something interesting with Funky's Rentals in DKC3 beta.

The green tool box had 3 tools, not just one, and Funky Kong has his DKC2 sprite?

Edit : There is quite a lot of differences in Funky's Rentals than just a toolbox.

Good find. I definitely would not have noticed the toolbox thing.

I was reading scans I had for promoting Donkey Kong Country 3 in the days of pre-release and I've noticed a few things:

One magazine lists the appearance of a "mystery Kong" to appear alongside Swanky, Cranky, and Funky. Though it might just've been Wrinkly they're talking about, I don't think fans would've exactly squealed in delight at the sound of her name.

The same magazine says "Cranky will be on hand to help our hairy heroes". All he does in-game, however, is act as an opponent in Swanky's Sideshow.

It also talks about "Krem Robots". The Krem Robots might've been Krack-Shot, though you don't actually see him (maybe you do in the earlier builds).

There's a mention of enemies being buffed up mentally with better A.I. and that some enemies will track you during battle, definitely KAOS and Krack-Shot. Would other enemies receive and A.I. boost rather than just repeated patterns of attack?

The description of Nibbla says "Try tossing him a Kremling snack or two". I love the idea of feeding enemies to monsters  . It reminds me of Munch's Oddysee. Maybe you would've been able to trick Kremlings into the water and watch them be attacked by Nibbla.

There's the pictures of Bazza as an eel and Swanky from Donkey Kong Country 2 also.

I will as soon as I get to my desktop. The resolution is pretty small on all of them so you'll really have to look hard to read what they say :|

I got them from TheMarioBros.net

A DKC3 prototype has been sold a month ago to someone anonymous, but I have heard nothing about it so far. :dixiecry:
Spoiler!

The prototype seems to say "DKC3 USA" on the chips, it must be an American prototype or something.

Oh, and why's this collector selfish? He said he is giving it to a friend of his.

Actually, the prototype might be a fake. The friend hasn't come back with any information and anyone could dismantle a cartridge and write DKC3 USA on it with a label. Maybe it's a fake ( :o ). Also, SNES Central is posting new SNES prototypes really quickly (seriously!), look at the front page.

I noticed that, in DKC2, I found out that the unused palette in SDK2 was used for the Mainbrace levels in the beta, I used it and it worked, I'm going to look through the DKC3 ROM for the weird clouds, because if they where in the manual, they must not be too old to be overwritten.

Some mockups I created using stills from the Brazilian TV ad and graphics from the final version:
Image Image
The palette used in Barrel Shield Bust-Up appears to be the best match for the proto Arich's Ambush. Also, notice that Arich's head and front legs were remodeled for the final version. Dixie seems to be frozen in place in the video, as she just stands there, blowing her bubble gum.

Image Image
In Blizzard's Basecamp, background graphics are the same between this build and the final version, only the placement of the layers are different (the cabin is placed 8 pixels higher in the final; the barrels do not change) In the final version, it's impossible to get Dixie and Kiddy to display those sprites in the exact location they're in. When Kiddy first displays this walking frame, he is much closer to the doorway than this. By the second time, he is closer to the counter and Dixie has already stopped walking.

Why are people so discreet about prototypes? Why can't they just share them? It's a game. The world would not go into a social upheaval if people just bothered to share the games.

 If I had a DKC3 prototype, I would share it, I don't know why Zak's friend can't just share the ultra rare DKC3 prototype, he would make all of us beta researchers happy, but instead, he's selfish and just keeps it only for himself and doesn't dump it, one time, someone found a Super Mario Kart beta, and guess what, he did not dump it, that was back in 2006, till this day, that prototype was never dumped.

If you dump a beta and it breaks, you have a backup, if you don't dump it and it breaks, your effed, if I found a DKC3 prototype in the middle of nowhere, I would pick it up, buy a SNES game adapter for PC, dump it, and send it to SNESCentral, they would put it up on there website.

In the beta versions, Dixie and/or Kiddy stands in a different position than the final version, and I can't really tell if the late beta has all 3 tools, I can barely see the red tool, and I can't see the blue one at all, I think it's because of the darkness, but in the early beta, there is only one tool, and Funky is still a California surfer.
