Okay, so everyone knows the kid game, What's Wrong in this Photo (apparently my favorite kid game). Well, how about I make my own version . To start off, here (note: use a file hosting site to upload photos on, Anything Goes section doesn't allow it);


(By the way, the Game Boy Color is a rip-off from the Game Slave, or is it? ).

Purple. That's one. The other one is the fact that Game Boy is spelt Game Boy. Needs a spacing. All right, moving on to a little more challenging thing (quite a few I see, from the DKL2 manual itself);

Klamptrap should be Klaptrap and KaBoing should be KaBoom.

One's right. The Kla"m"ptrap one is. Kaboom isn't in Donkey Kong Land 2 at all.

Answers (note that some are what I think are mistakes);
*Kaboom - Erroneously listed as Kaboing (also its description).
*Kaboom - Not in Donkey Kong Land 2.
*Klamptrap should be Klaptrap (you got that one right).
*Kutlass isn't in the game at all.
*Not quite an error, but the descriptions are all taken from the Donkey Kong Country 2 manual.
*Crocodile Island is called Crocodile Isle.
*Klubba is more of an ally than enemy.
*Krook "rockets" his hooked hands (means he does it at like rocket speed which he doesn't).

...and I think that's it.

I've never played the DKL games.

First, let's go with the most obvious: The horse tied to the fence.

Everything else wrong:
The bleachers full of rodents

One kid with roses

The recliner
and last but not least, the chick in the bathrobe with the beach ball

All of it seems... CORRECT (by the way, am I doing a good job at these challenges?). Some of it is quite funny (and I don't laugh at any ol' thing).

No, honey, there's no reason you should make it up. You didn't do anything wrong. I actually used to love doing the Highlights Kids I Spy games in the doctor's office when I was young.

Bump. I moved this from DKC-related scans to here because I feel this is a better topic. I see a lot of stuff wrong in this poorly-revised PAL buyer's guide (December 2012-January 2013). Notice the NTSC Mario Kart DS boxart in a PAL buyer's guide (really weird, right?) I did notice that it's a DSi XL bundle, and yet a picture of a 3DS is shown instead .

geno did list the following (not all of the errors I spot):

*The guide claims the "DSi XL" to be a "console" instead of a handheld.
*They cropped the Mario Kart DS box artwork onto the 3DS screen.
*"DS Mario kart Game" (Mario Kart DS is called "DS Mario kart")

I'll try to revive the topic because I have an interest in typos/misspellings/etc. (even though they really bug me...) Since Anything Goes does not allow image uploading, try using an image hosting site if you want to show an image.

I didn't notice the first time, but that uses a picture of a 3DS when it's advertising a DSi XL.

I see quite a lot of errors in this one. I love sharing my finds and such with you guys .

To start off, I'll list two:
*They list 3DS console in the bold title four times, and only one bold title mentions the color (Metallic Red).
*The word "white" as in "Ice White" is not capitalized.

I'd like to share the fun with the community .

The blue one is missing a bottom screen image, and the top screen doesn't have a shadow underneath the "Nintendo 3DS" letters.

Also, they are all displaying the menu except the Pink one (shows game), the aforementioned Blue one (see above) , and the second White one (it's just off).


And the "Ice White" 3DS is listed twice (although one could argue that it's because one comes with a game and one doesn't).

Alright, this one's from a PAL December 2010 buyer's guide. I found it on the Web Archive (bless that amazing site). I hope I can get challenged with one sometime, geno always gets the challenge (sorry it's so small, you gotta try and make out the text).

Obvious Mario Kart DS artwork is obvious. (It also doesn't specify which Mario Kart, but I bet everyone could infer that it is MKWii.)

Along these lines, there's a Wal Mart I occasionally go to, which divides their Video Games section into each system using big cardboard things with character art on them. They used Mario Kart DS artwork for the Wii one, and Mario Kart Wii artwork for the Nintendo DS one.

But they eventually fixed it.



And by the way, yes I did mean Coral Pink, oops

It's a pirated box of a pirated Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA game. I notice at least one noticeable error. I do find it annoying how there are so many artwork of DKC3 implanted on the back of the box...

Plus, those last 2 sentences don't really make sense here.

I haven't seen the real GBA DKC3 box, but isn't Baron K Roolenstien's presence supposed to be a secret?
