breaking news! i lost all of my donkey kong stuff! actively undergoing file recovery! my speedrun of me almost breaking the 38 barrier is gone, and my story, and my games as well. i would like to repeat that i have never played anything newer than the n64. also my playlist is gone. and my roms.

K.rool’s shield in dkc1 is a crown and he is invulnerable until removing it. He is smarter in DKC2, though.

As for his DKC3 battles, I don't know what's going on there, since he's just floating around and trying to avoid the Kongs.

Cheato gives out cheat codes, and if he was aware that he's in a video game, many people woud make several videos about him and if he's Gaster. Of course, K. Rool is the one who fell into the Kore, although I don't think he created it.

No, but that is an interesting idea. I often think back to my favorite cave in Jungle Japes from DK64, which always seemed very relaxing.

The cave was located on the way to Cranky's stormy area, and I specifically liked the area that Rambi opens, most likely because of the pond.
