That’s my only grievance with DK64. Having to return to previous worlds for stuff.

You only need to do that for the first two, and they're pretty straightforward. Gloomy Galleon is the worst level in the game, however, since it involves much backtracking across the area. I do like swimming deep down in both lakes, and the mermaid is one of my favorite characters. She's not fully human, but she's close enough to make me wonder if there are other humans in DK's world.

If that's the case, I don't want to see it on PC. Regardless of the world's faults, however, it still has good moments, and I still love most of the game.

One of the few parts I liked from Tropical Freeze was bouncing on all of those jelly cubes as Dixie in Hero Mode. That world fit her new goofy personality well.

Probably. I think Cranky needed to stretch his legs too. But he certainly did not live up to expectations

Tell me all about it when you're ready, Tanager. Don't feel rushed. Funky is also similar to Enguarde, and the two of them likely know each other well out on the waves.

I think so, and he might also do so when above the water. Funky is more powerful than most realize, and if he rode Enguarde, nobody could defeat them.

The Banana Fairy Queen from DK64 may not be the mom for all of the fairies like DKC3's Banana Bird Queen is, but I consider her as such.

Yes, I know, but I also felt like she was their mom. I had no idea that she was the one refilling and upgrading the Kongs as well until she spoke at the end of Hideout Helm.

He does, but every time you take a picture of a banana fairy, the queen will refill most of your supplies and increase your crystal coconut capacity by one.

Diddy and Funky make their non-mobile return, while Pauline and Peachette make their non-mobile debut! People thought there would only be two more characters... Too bad for Dixie, though.

Indeed, Mattrizzle. Those first two characters should have been in the original Mario Kart 8 nine years ago, and I don't know what took the third choice so long. That last one should have been our favorite guitar-playing girlfriend instead, however.

It's alright, and Cranky was planned to walk like he does in the GBA versions of DKC and DKC2, but it didn't happen. As for my random thought, cheese seems like it could be dangerous, and not just because it's mold.

Sometimes, I'd rather wander around the island looking for colored bananas than deal with certain parts of my life, but I never seriously consider it.

I mean, Rareware in DK64 rather oversimplified the kong world. The island is much bigger and more detailed in the overworld. But I don't think they wanted people to get lost, and they probably didn't have the space.

If the game was made nowadays, Rare wouldn't need to worry about that, since just about everyone loves Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. I am not one of those people, however, so a Donkey Kong game with too much space and too little to do doesn't sound appealing to me.

No one has brilliance anymore, though. Tears in the wild and breath in the kingdom was bad. In my opinion, for game design.

Many people thought Returns and Tropical Freeze were the greatest games on the planet as well, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Besides, after about a week, many fans decided that Tears of the Kingdom was actually bad all along. As one person put it, "It's the most frustrating 10/10," which is a goofy phrase.

In F-Zero 99, I'm at Level 35 and Skill level S-, but still don't have a single win to my name. I have finished 2nd place in at least one race with 3 out of 4 of the machines. The Blue Falcon is ironically the most difficult for me to get the hang of. Because it doesn't have any strengths, I always rank out in a Grand Prix race with it.
